Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is hiring an Entry Level Cook 1 across multiple dining venues at Choctaw Casino & Resort Durant. This role offers hands-on kitchen experience under the Sous Chef, with opportunities across Grand Cafe, Salt & Stone, Guy Fieri's American Kitchen + Bar, 1832 Steakhouse, and more.

The position requires basic culinary knowledge, ability to follow recipes, and a commitment to cleanliness and food safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain)
• 6 months of culinary experience OR equivalent culinary education/experience

Responsabilités

• Prepare ingredients (wash, chop, slice, peel, etc.)
• Cook food using grill, fry, bake, steam, braise, boil methods
• Ensure food is properly seasoned, garnished, and visually appealing
• Follow standardized recipes and preparation methods
• Taste food prior to service to ensure quality
• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
• Assist with kitchen setup, service, and cleanup
• Minimize waste through proper portioning and production levels
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-volume, professional kitchen environment while learning from experienced culinary leaders.

Requirements

What You'll Do

As a Cook 1, you'll work under the direction of the Sous Chef to support daily kitchen operations while maintaining high standards for food quality, presentation, and safety.
