Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled field service technician to perform system commissioning and diagnostics across HVAC controls. You will load controller software, troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues, and respond to warranty calls while keeping customers informed at every step.

You will calibrate systems, document changes, and prepare as-built records, with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience or 1 year experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.

Responsibilities

• Loads system-level controller software and performs basic commissioning.
• Performs system diagnostics from controllers to end devices and completes documentation.
• Keeps management and customers informed of job progress and issues.
• Calibrates systems using basic electronic test equipment.
• Completes time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
