Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC commissioning technician to perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls tools, troubleshoot basic HVAC controls, and respond to warranty calls. You will provide customers with top-tier service and act as a trusted advisor to resolve building inefficiencies.

The role includes loading controller software, performing diagnostics from system controllers to end devices, and completing all required commissioning documentation while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field or at least 2 years of industry experience.
• Experience with HVAC controls and facilities management systems.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
• Leadership to support mechanics on non-complex building automation equipment.
• PC experience and ability to program HVAC related software.

Responsibilities

• Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.
• Respond to basic warranty calls and provide high level service to resolve building inefficiencies.
• Load system-level controller software and complete commissioning documentation.
• Communicate progress and issues to management and customers.
