Job summary

NOVA Engineering is seeking an Entry Level Construction Technician to join our Raleigh, NC team. We will train you to perform construction materials testing in soil, concrete, asphalt, and related materials, with hands-on field observations and reporting.

Responsibilities include reviewing blueprints, documenting results, using Metafield systems, and communicating findings with project teams. This is a full-time on-site position offering training, growth opportunities, and a competitive benefits

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in construction testing preferred, but entry-level candidates with strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to routinely lift 40 to 50 lbs is required.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions; PPE provided.
• Ability to maneuver equipment on uneven ground at active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/grout according to specifications.
• Review blueprints for field observations on construction sites.
• Document field activities and test results for conformance with project plans.
• Record testing results in Metafield or similar systems.
• Communicate results with project staff, general contractors, and clients.
• Calibrate field and lab equipment to industry standards.
