Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC seeks a Construction Materials Testing / Engineering Technician for our Tallahassee, FL office. We will train new staff and support certifications in aggregate, asphalt, soil, reinforced concrete, and masonry.

You will perform field tests, review blueprints, document results, and coordinate with project teams. Entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic are welcome; advanced certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in construction testing/inspections preferred, or entry-level with willingness to learn.
• ACI Certification is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 40–50 lbs and work outdoors in variable weather.

Responsibilities

• Field test soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry materials per specs.
• Review blueprints and prepare field observations on sites.
• Document field activities and testing results to project plans.
• Use Metafield and other systems to record results.
• Communicate results to project teams and clients.
• Calibrate field and lab equipment to codes and standards.
