Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Laborer I responsible for preparation, handling, and supplying materials for other crafts on the jobsite.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading equipment, erecting scaffolding, leveling ground, and assisting with concrete operations. The role requires teamwork, basic tool proficiency, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

Must have completed a two-year apprenticeship.
Experience in construction preferred.
Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.
Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication.
Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements.
Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Load and unload equipment.
Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging.
Level ground for scaffolding.
Tend mortar and grout.
Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets.
General cleanup and debris removal, including sweeping, washing, unloading or burning debris.
Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete; vibrate concrete.
Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
All other duties as assigned.
