Job summary

Alfred Benesch & Company in Milwaukee seeks a Construction Representative to inspect and document infrastructure projects, including roads, water mains, and sewers, and to support client relationships on site.

The role emphasizes collaboration, adherence to budgets and schedules, and contributing to project procedures. Recent grads are encouraged to apply; EIT preferred; experience with ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak, or AutoCAD is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Construction Engineering required; EIT preferred.
• 0–3 years of WisDOT experience preferred.
• Recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Experience with ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak, and/or AutoCAD desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills; able to work within budgets and schedules.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Review and assure budget and schedule adequacy with the project supervisor.
• Perform construction observation and follow project procedures.
• Maintain a field book in accordance with project procedures.
• Measure construction work and calculate pay item quantities.
• Prepare Inspector's Daily Reports and other project documentation.
• Report progress to the project supervisor on technical issues and remaining work.
• Review plans, specifications, and submittals related to assigned work.
• Provide design or other professional assistance to project managers.
• Maintain company vehicle or equipment assigned for the project.
