Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking entry-level engineers to help manage construction projects. Reporting to a project manager or superintendent, you will coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors on site.

Duties include estimating and bidding, resolving design issues, handling change orders, drafting contracts and purchase orders, and supporting field teams to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology or Construction Management, Construction Technology.
• Knowledge of engineering principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Manage estimating and bidding processes and track project costs.
• Resolve and clarify design issues and field changes.
• Draft contracts and purchase orders documenting work, schedules and costs.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals and change orders.
• Support project meetings and ensure safety, quality and compliance.
• Track milestones and implement project schedules for completion.
• Document technical, financial, and personnel aspects of projects.
