Job summary

Toray in Morgan Hill, CA is seeking an entry-level Production Technician I to support the production department under close supervision. You will assist senior operators, learn quality checks, and handle packaging rolls and raw materials while following safety procedures.

As you gain experience, you will set up tasks with supervision, prioritize routine work to improve efficiency, troubleshoot minor issues, and adhere to PPE guidelines to keep yourself and teammates safe.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• 0 to 1 year of experience with composites or production is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Math and basic computer skills required; a math test may be given.
• Ability to convert grams to pounds.
• Follow written and verbal instructions for machine operation.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English.
• Team-oriented with ability to work safely in a production environment.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and sustain overtime/weekend work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operations: Follow instructions and work under close supervision to complete tasks; set up and operate machines with supervision.
• Quality: Check for defects on the line and perform hourly machine checks; identify issues with oversight.
• Safety: Follow PPE procedures and dispose hazardous waste properly; maintain a clean, safe area.
• Other: Wrap/label product, move materials, and assist with loading/unloading; perform other duties as assigned.
• Move and lift materials approximately 55 lbs as needed.
