Job summary

Toray Advanced Composites Usa, Inc is seeking a Process Engineer I in Morgan Hill, CA to join a hands-on production environment. You will learn and take technical ownership of the production processes, supporting continuous improvement, quality, and safety across manufacturing lines.

Under guidance from a senior engineer, you will perform process control, troubleshooting, and documentation in line with AS9100 quality practices, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable upgrades

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in material science, engineering, chemical, mechanical or related field.
Less than three years of experience in composite materials, aerospace manufacturing.
Lean and Six Sigma training is a plus.
Familiarity with RCCA, PFMEA, Statistics & SQC/SPC is preferred.
Must communicate clearly in English.
Able to work with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

Learn and understand process engineering activities across manufacturing, process control/optimization, scrap reduction, and engineering trials.
Troubleshoot problems in impregnation or batch mixing manufacturing processes.
Support in establishing and measuring process performance standards related to quality and throughput.
Provide feedback to safety, quality, and cost reduction initiatives.
Document manufacturing processes and methods per AS9100 quality systems.
