Job summary

OceanFirst Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to support commercial lending decisions. Under the guidance of Credit Management, you will analyze loan requests, review financial statements, assess operating performance, and evaluate collateral and guarantors to form initial credit risk ratings.

You will prepare detailed analyses and summaries for credit committees, participate in annual portfolio reviews, ensure compliance with policies, and contribute to special projects.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of credit and financial analysis techniques.
• Understanding of lending processes and credit policies.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Word and Excel.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of credit and customer information.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed credit analysis of commercial loan requests and borrower information.
• Assess credit worthiness through financial statements and industry trends.
• Prepare summaries and loan risk ratings.
• Assist in loan package preparation for presentation.
• Conduct annual reviews of current portfolio clients.
