Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a Machining Operations Support role designed for individuals starting a machining career. You will learn and perform basic machine setup, operation, and inspection tasks in a manufacturing environment, following safety and quality standards to contribute to production goals.

Responsibilities include setting up CNC and manual machines, reading CNC codes, measuring finished parts, changing tools, mounting and aligning fixtures, and adjusting feeds as needed

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in industrial technology or school experience.
• Ability to learn machine setup, operation, and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down CNC and manual machines.
• Read and interpret CNC codes.
• Measure dimensions of finished parts using precision tools.
• Remove and replace dull cutting tools.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools and fixtures on machines.
• Adjust machine feed and speed, or tool changes when needed.
• Lift work pieces to machines manually.
• Calculate machine speed and feed ratios.
