Job summary

GP&C is seeking an entry-level Machinist I to set up, operate, and maintain basic machine tools to produce precision metal parts per specifications. You will learn to read blueprints and drawings, use precision measuring tools, and perform routine inspections under supervision.

The role involves working with manual and CNC machines, adhering to safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Strong attendance and willingness to learn are essential to succeed in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a structured production or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience following written and verbal work instructions in English.
• Experience adhering to workplace policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Experience working within attendance and punctuality standards in a production setting.
• Experience supporting cross-functional departments as needed (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings for all processes and programs.
• Familiarity with CNC program knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up on manual lathes, manual mills, CNC lathes, CNC mills, and Waterjet machines for all programs and part types including production and/or engineering parts with moderate to light assistance.
• Operate manual and/or CNC machines and perform routine inspections to ensure quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.
