ECS Group of Companies (ECS) is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician for our West Palm Beach team. The role is primarily field-based, focusing on field observations, sampling, and testing of soils, aggregates, and concrete under supervision to support project execution and data collection.

As you grow, ECS will support you with development opportunities, OSHA 10, ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, RCI, and other certification pathways, while maintaining a positive

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Obtain basic certifications per ECS Technician Policy.
  • Valid driver's license if driving for ECS.
  • Strong communication and dependable work ethic.
  • Read maps and interpret plans (developing).
  • Ability to lift up to 85 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Performs field observation, testing, and sampling of soil, aggregates, and concrete under supervision.
  • Assists with construction materials testing activities on project sites.
  • Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
  • Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors.
  • Assists with preparation and submission of daily field reports.
  • Supports basic calculations and data entry related to testing results.
  • Assists in organizing and maintaining field equipment.
  • Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment.
  • Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested.
  • Performs other field and project support duties as assigned.
