Job summary

ECS Group of Companies seeks a motivated Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician in Morgantown, WV. No prior experience is required as you will learn under seasoned professionals, with paid training and certification fee coverage.

You will conduct field testing, sampling, and data collection on soils, aggregates, and concrete, under supervision, while developing skills toward CMT certifications and OSHA training opportunities.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and follow laws.
• Willing to learn CMT principles and ASTM standards.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete at sites under supervision.
• Testing Procedures: perform routine field tests per standards and use equipment.
• Data Collection: perform calculations and data reduction from tests.
• Communication: maintain daily contact with contractors, technicians, and managers; report conditions.
• Training and Development: receive ECS training and document findings with engineering accuracy.
