Job summary

NOVA Engineering in Norcross, GA, seeks a CMT Field Engineer to perform fieldwork and testing on construction materials projects across the Atlanta metro area. The role is salaried with overtime pay and room for career advancement.

The ideal candidate will hold a Civil Engineering degree (ABET-accredited) or equivalent with NCEES evaluation; 0–4+ years in construction testing are preferred. Entry-level applicants are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution or equivalent with NCEES evaluation.
• 0–4+ years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soils, concrete, masonry and/or asphalt.
• Entry-level graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) license is preferred but not required.
• Role is ~80% fieldwork and ~20% office with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Staff/project engineering duties including data reduction, analysis and fieldwork for various projects.
• Assist with project management and reporting.
• Field inspection, sampling and testing of soils, foundations, concrete, masonry and reinforcing steel.
• Prepare reports and communicate with clients.
• Provide support to other NOVA team members to meet company goals.
