State of Iowa - Executive Branch seeks an entry-level claims processor for the Great Iowa Treasure Hunt (GITH) team. You will interact with the public in person, by phone, and by mail to process claims and protect owners.

The role emphasizes learning new computer systems and strong communication skills. The position starts at the beginning range of the salary scale and requires critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new computer systems.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process claims as directed by a manager.
• Research and identify potential fraud.
• Provide additional support requested by your manager.
• Assist walk-ins with claims as requested.
• Answer emails, phone calls and mail requests promptly.
• Help plan and staff outreach events.
• Propose ideas to outreach team to improve reach of programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support mission and goals.
• Provide backup as needed by any area of the office.
• Participate in claims team meetings and assist teammates.
• Participate in Treasury team and contribute to final recommendations.
