Acuity Insurance is seeking class of entry-level Claims Representatives to start in January 2027. Reps investigate and evaluate property, auto or general liability claims, contacting involved parties by phone, fax, and email.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in current computer technology.
• Ability and willingness to provide quality customer service.
• Spanish language is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate and resolve multi-line property and liability claims across multiple states.
• Make initial contact with claimants and insureds promptly.
• Evaluate policy coverage by applying terms to facts.
• Forecast reserves and monitor adequacy throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Conduct phone interviews, obtain recorded statements, photos, and documents.
• Maintain thorough claim file documentation with activity logs and system updates.
• Identify potentially fraudulent claims and refer to SIU.
• Engage outside vendors in a cost-effective manner.
• Negotiate settlements or deny claims where appropriate.
• Participate in on-site training and adhere to company guidelines.
