Job summary

Acuity Insurance is seeking entry-level Claims Representatives to begin in January 2027 in Phoenix, AZ. You will investigate and evaluate multi-line property and liability claims, contact involved parties, and determine coverage and liability while maintaining top-tier customer service.

This role requires on-site training up to 12 weeks with travel and accommodations covered by Acuity; bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Customer Service Or Insurance Experience Preferred.
• Selected candidates will participate in on-site training up to 12 weeks during first year with travel and accommodations covered by Acuity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in current computer technology.
• Ability and willingness to provide quality customer service.
• Strong analytical and creative problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others.
• Being bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively investigate, evaluate and resolve assigned multi-line property and liability claims.
• Make timely initial contact with involved parties (claimants and insureds).
• Accurately evaluate policy coverage by applying facts to terms.
• Forecast reserves and monitor adequacy per reserve philosophy.
• Investigate claims via phone interviews, statements, photos and documents.
• Maintain task lists and timely activity logs for each claim.
• Document claims thoroughly in system and imaging.
• Identify potentially fraudulent claims and refer to SIU.
