Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Civil Engineering New Grad in Dallas, TX. This entry-level role offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience with mentorship and training to grow your expertise from day one.

You will assist with engineering analysis, design, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and site drainage and grading designs while working within project budgets and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• Basic skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to complete AutoCAD training quickly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Clear oral and written communication with individuals or groups.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic calculations (hydraulic, traffic, piling, rebar, earthwork).
• Assist in design of water and sewer systems for municipal projects.
• Assist with grading and stormwater designs for site plans.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and communicate technical information.
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
• Support project planning and scheduling tasks to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and client instructions; monitor progress.
• Analyze low to medium complexity tasks and propose solutions with seniors.
• Participate in IMEG quality control processes to meet standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices; contribute to R&D efforts.
• Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance and interpret local design criteria.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
