Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Texas is hiring a Civil Engineering New Grad in Dallas or Houston to gain hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience with mentorship and training from day one.

You will assist with engineering analysis, water and sewer design, site grading, client interactions, and teamwork to deliver solutions for municipal, university, and utility markets while upholding safety and regulatory standards and the ESOP culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BS) required.
• Basic skills or knowledge with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and the ability to complete AutoCAD training sessions quickly.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in producing technical plans and specs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written form.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic calculations on assigned work, including hydraulic calculations, traffic projections, piling or rebar calculations, and site earthwork balancing.
• Assist in designing water and sewer systems for smaller private and larger municipal systems.
• Assist with grading and stormwater designs for commercial, industrial, and residential site plans.
• Interact with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively.
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
• Work as part of a project team to support consulting projects, including planning and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Assist with documenting design decisions and client instructions while monitoring progress.
• Analyze low to medium complexity tasks and propose innovative solutions with senior engineers.
