Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Civil Engineering New Graduate in Ottawa, IL. This entry-level role offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution with mentorship and training to grow from day one.

You will support engineering analysis, design, field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and site drainage and grading work while collaborating with cross-functional teams within municipal and transportation projects in the Chicago suburbs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
• Basic AutoCAD Civil 3D skills or training.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic engineering calculations (hydraulic, traffic, earthwork).
• Assist in designing water and sewer systems for municipal and private clients.
• Support grading and stormwater design for various site plans.
• Communicate with clients to gather requirements and explain technical information.
• Support project planning and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress.
