Job summary

State of West Virginia, Bureau of Child Support Enforcement, is seeking an entry-level Caseworker in a training capacity. In this role you will undergo formal classroom training and on-the-job training to develop familiarity with Child Support Laws, regulations, policies, programs, and services, learning to process cases through locations and notice non-custodial parents.

Qualifications

• Training: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Four (4) years of clerical and/or paraprofessional experience.
• Substitution: Accredited college credits may substitute for the required experience.
• Special Requirement: Availability of a vehicle for continuous use may be a requisite of employment.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform entry-level Child Support case work and processing.
• Respond to customer service inquiries and maintain confidentiality.
• Under close supervision will learn to acquire knowledge and abilities leading to the independent management of a case load in Child Support Enforcement.
• Locate parents, assets and sources of income and calculate the Child Support formula.
