Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is seeking a CDL-A driver for a Northeast regional fleet. You will begin with paid on-road training with a driver trainer at $850 per week, then $1,000 per week guaranteed for the first 3 months solo. Most loads are drop and hook with some live load opportunities.

Expect to run about 1,900 miles per week; weekends off after reaching the mileage threshold. Typical weekly gross ranges from $1,300 to $2,000 depending on miles and tenure, with per-mile pay starting at $0.55 and rising to

Qualifications

• CDL-A licence required; 21+ years old.
• New drivers receive structured training with pay.
• Experienced drivers must have 6 months of OTR in the last 12 months or 12+ months in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate Northeast regional routes from Virginia into the Northeast and New England.
• Maintain safe driving practices and comply with DOT regulations.
• Adhere to schedule, communicate with dispatch, and manage logs and paperwork.

Getting Started

• Paid on the road training with a driver trainer
• $850 per week while you train

Where You Run

• Northbound out of Virginia into the Northeast and New England
• Flexible home time, weekends off when you hit about 1,900 miles
• Drop and hook on most loads, some live loads

Earnings

• $1,300 to $2,000 average weekly gross
• $0.55 per mile to start, up 1 cent per year of tenure to $0.65

What You Need

• Class A CDL and at least 21 years old
• New drivers: 120+ hours at an accredited CDL school
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the last 5 years
• Clean record: max 2 moving violations in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years
• Pass hair and urine drug testing
