Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer I to perform basic to intermediate cardiac ultrasound services for adults, including transthoracic and transesophageal studies.

You will prepare equipment and patients, explain procedures, review images, and report findings while supporting quality processes in the Echocardiography Lab and collaborating with physicians, sonographers, and nurses.

Qualifications

• Education: Grad of an Accredited Program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• Experience: Less than 1 year of Experience.
• Certification/License: BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer; RDCS through ARDMS or RCS through CCI within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures using various equipment and techniques.
• Identifies and defines cardiac abnormalities; extends examination scope as needed.
• May assist physicians in procedures and operating rooms by performing echocardiograph studies.
• Prepares patients for procedures and obtains clinical history; adjusts imaging techniques for comprehensive echocardiograms.
• Maintains Echocardiography Lab equipment and reports malfunctions; serves as a resource to staff.
