Zusammenfassung

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer II to perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound services including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress tests for adults. The role involves preparing equipment and patients, reviewing images, and reporting findings to support accurate diagnosis.

The position requires 2 years of cardiac Sono experience, BLS within 30 days, and certification in RCS or RDCS at hire/transfer.

Qualifikationen

2 years of experience in cardiac sono required.
BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
RCS or RDCS certification required at time of hire/transfer.

Aufgaben

Prepare patients for procedures and obtain their clinical history. Include cardiac-related findings and pertinent data.
Perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures with various equipment and measurements.
Identify and define cardiac abnormalities and extend exam scope as needed.
May assist physicians in procedures and ORs by performing echocardiography.
Assist in transesophageal studies with cardiologist; calculate measurements and sterilize probes.
Record statistics and perform daily maintenance of Echocardiography Lab equipment.
Act as a resource to staff and students regarding equipment and studies to optimize patient care.
Work with quality coordinator to ensure adherence to protocols and assist with ICAEL accreditation.
