Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Killeen, TX seeks a Cardiac Sonographer 2 to perform transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms. You will prepare patients, obtain histories, and deliver accurate results. Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and echocardiography protocols is essential.

Responsibilities include image review, report generation, and collaboration with clinicians. BLS and ARDMS/CCI credentials are required; opportunities for growth and a patient-centered care approach

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• Less than 1 year of Experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or RDCS at time of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures and obtain clinical history.
• Perform basic to advanced echocardiography using various equipment.
• Identify and define cardiac abnormalities and extend exam scope as needed.
• Assist physicians in procedures and operating rooms with echocardiography studies.
• Record statistics and maintain Echo Lab equipment; report malfunctions.
• Serve as a resource to staff and students on equipment, techniques, and studies.
