Torrey Holistics is seeking an entry-level Saw Grinder I/Sandblaster to join our manufacturing team in Indiana. You will learn to operate and manage multiple machines for sharpening carbide saw blades in a fast-paced production setting.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, safety, and adherence to quality requirements while performing grinding and sandblasting duties under established procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow written work instructions.
• Basic understanding of shop mathematics and measurement techniques.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges).
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn various production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machines used to sharpen/grind carbide saw blades.
• Inspect blades for cracks, chips, and repairs.
• Perform repairs including removing/replacing damaged tips using a torch and braze shaft.
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks to support operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep a clean, safe work area following 6S principles.
