Qualifications

• 2+ years preferred of drafting experience, preferably in gas utility field.
• Recent graduates with relevant degree are also welcome.

Responsibilities

• Create basemaps from GIS exports, aerial imagery, survey data.
• Create foundational drawing sets for distribution.
• Apply drafting standards to basemap packages for review.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior CAD technicians/designers.
• Assist in redline process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support development of CAD standards and best practices.

Skills

Proficient with AutoCAD 2D basics

Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, schematics and maps

Familiarity with GIS and GIS data formats

Familiarity with other CAD software such as Civil 3D or Inventor

Education

Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or equivalent related field
