Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. seeks a Drafter I (SGL4) to support field crews and customers with drafting for gas pipeline projects in a hybrid role in Fort Smith or Little Rock, AR. The role collaborates with Engineering, Operations and Construction to deliver accurate maps and construct documents.

You will work with ArcGIS, AutoCAD and related tools, ensuring QA/QC and data integrity while learning systems across departments. This is a hands-on drafting position with safety and compliance emphasis.

Qualifications

• Vo-Tech/CAD/GIS/Drafting credential or 60 college credits required.
• Experience with drafting tools and field-to-map workflows preferred.
• Knowledge of maps, plats, legal descriptions and line work is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform drafting duties for gas pipeline projects in collaboration with Engineering, Operations and Construction.
• Support process issues to improve productivity and mapping accuracy.
• Assist with QA/QC to maintain CAD/GIS standards and organize as-built records.
• Collaborate across departments to populate data and support risk models.
