Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Experienced CAD Operator to join our Natural Gas team in Warrenville, Illinois. You will create and quality-check drawings for gas distribution and pipeline projects, including metering stations, while maintaining drawing databases.

The role requires 3+ years of CAD experience, strong knowledge of Autodesk or Bentley CAD tools (CADWorx preferred), and collaborative communication. Opportunity for growth within a supportive, professional environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant CAD experience for gas distribution/pipeline.
• Proficient with Autodesk or Bentley CAD tools (CADWorx preferred).
• Detail oriented with strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Create and quality-check drawings and plans for gas distribution and pipeline design.
• Design metering and regulation stations.
• Apply engineering principles and suggest design changes.
• Maintain drawing database.
• May supervise and train CAD staff.
• Familiarize with Kimley-Horn’s practices and standards.
