Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking a procurement professional to optimize use of company assets in acquiring goods and services. The role focuses on ensuring quality, continuity, and timely delivery while minimizing total cost across the supply chain.

The candidate will issue POs in ERP, coordinate with vendors, monitor order progress, and support sourcing with RFQs and pricing data. Familiarity with international purchasing terms is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience creating purchase orders and managing transfers in ERP.
• Submit purchase orders to vendors and confirm pricing and quantities.
• Ability to work with vendors and internal stakeholders to supply packaging and labeling specs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately create purchase orders and transfers in ERP.
• Submit purchase orders to vendors and confirm pricing and quantities.
• Act as initial vendor contact for packaging and labeling specs.
• Monitor order progress with vendors and update ship/receipt dates.
• Coordinate with distribution centers, National Accounts, Credit, and Accounts Payable.
• Issue and receive RFQs from vendors and upload pricing into Woodgrain software.
• Understand Incoterms and international purchasing basics.
• Ensure POs mitigate risk to the company.
• Expedite product to meet delivery commitments.
• Reconcile receipts and invoices for payment terms.
• Procure product needs to support branch, regional and corporate strategies.
• Track KPIs: on-time delivery, fill rates, inventory turns, E&O, etc.
