Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking a procurement professional to manage purchasing of imported fasteners and related goods. You will optimize inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and execute regional buying strategies to improve availability and reduce total cost.

The role emphasizes supplier management, PO processing, and alignment with company goals for on-time delivery and cost control within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience analyzing lead times, EOQ, and supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes quantities on hand, supplier lead-time, inventory and EOQ to determine PO requirements.
• Issues POs, reduces cost, and improves lead times to increase sourcing reliability.
• Ensures timely sourcing within supplier capacity and proper PO issuance to mitigate risk.
• Uses TLC reports and MRP systems to support purchasing decisions from all suppliers.
• Manages inventory levels across branches/regions, incorporating safety stock and EOQ.
• Coordinates regional and multi-branch buying strategies to improve availability.
