Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking a procurement professional to optimize asset use and manage sourcing for assigned goods and services. You will execute short- and long-term strategies to ensure quality, continuity, and timely supply while reducing total costs.

The role emphasizes accurate PO creation, vendor negotiations, RFQ handling, Incoterms knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration to align with branch and corporate goals. A bachelor's degree and 1–2 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Issuing purchase orders to correct sources and creating internal transfers in the ERP system.
• Submit POs to vendors and confirm accurate acknowledgements of products, pricing, and quantities.
• Act as initial contact for vendor needs, coordinating packaging and labelling specs with vendors and marketing.
• Monitor order progress with vendors; update expected ship and receipt dates.
• Follow up with stakeholders (distribution centers, National Accounts, Credit, Accounts Payable).
• Support sourcing by issuing and receiving RFQs from vendors and uploading pricing into Woodgrain software.
• Know international purchasing basics (Incoterms) and ensure POs mitigate risk.
• Expedite products to meet delivery commitments.
• Reconcile receipts and invoices to payment terms.
• Procure products to support branch, regional, and corporate strategies.
• KPI focus: on-time delivery, fill rates, inventory turns, E&O, invoice accuracy, stockouts, inbound freight, purchase price variance, warehouse lead-time.
