Job summary

Uniti is seeking a Buried Drop Technician to physically install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial cables from the network hub to customers' residences. The role requires overnight travel and may include out-of-state assignments, with a focus on safe, high-quality service delivery.

The technician will interpret drawings, complete required paperwork, and promote Uniti products and services while training new staff. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a DOT physical are essential.

Qualifications

• Willing to travel overnight and out of state.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must complete required training, including DOT medical.
• Color discrimination required for color-coded cables.

Responsibilities

• Install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cable to connect the network to customers’ residences.
• Use technical skills and customer focus to create meaningful connections.
• Interpret work drawings and complete paperwork.
• Promote and sell Kinetic products and services.
• Train new employees on daily job functions.
• Operate handheld computer for tasks and work orders.
• Perform underground locates when applicable; operate trenching/boring equipment.
