Job summary

Uniti is seeking a Buried Drop Technician to perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber, and coaxial cable from the network hub to the customer’s residence. The role requires travel overnight, including out-of-state projects.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to travel overnight, including out of state.

Responsibilities

• Install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cable from hub to customer residence.
• Use technical skills and customer focus to connect customers with products.
• Interpret work drawings/instructions and complete paperwork.
• Promote Kinetic products and services.
• Train new employees on daily tasks.
• Operate handheld computer to retrieve and clear tasks.
• Perform underground facility locates when required.
• Operate trenching and boring equipment for burying cable.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
