Job summary

Uniti is seeking a Buried Drop Technician to install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial cable from the network hub to customers’ homes. Overnight travel may be required based on business needs. This role is safety sensitive and essential for delivering reliable connectivity to customers.

The technician will interpret drawings, complete paperwork, and promote Uniti products and services while supporting a team responsible for connecting households to high-speed networks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to distinguish colors present in color-coded cable.
• Basic technology and math skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Must be able to travel overnight including out-of-state travels when required.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cable to connect the network to customers’ residences.
• Use technical skills and customer focus to build meaningful connections with customers.
• Interpret work drawings and instructions and complete required paperwork.
• Sell and promote Kinetic products and services.
• Train new employees on daily job functions.
