Job summary

Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) seeks an entry-level fiscal advisor to analyze financial transactions, prepare financial statements, and control funds under close supervision.

You will perform essential functions such as reviewing transactions, reconciling data to the general ledger, maintaining internal controls, and delivering reliable financial information to auditors and internal customers.

Qualifications

• One year of experience processing accounting, auditing or payroll transactions.
• Six months' experience in auditing, examining, preparing, analyzing or reconciling financial accounts.
• Associate degree or higher in Accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze financial transactions to determine accuracy and compliance.
• Reconcilie and consolidate data to the general ledger and maintain an audit trail.
• Maintain internal controls and apply accounting principles and standards.
• Provide advice and technical guidance on fiscal matters.
• Prepare a variety of statements and reports on financial health for planning.
