Colorado Department of Transportation is seeking a Budget Analyst I, Enterprise Analyst. This entry-level role supports the transportation enterprises to develop annual budget requests, execute actions, monitor expenditures, and support revenue program activities.

The position collaborates across functions and implements public sector best practices. The role will assist with legislative budget development, fiscal analysis, debt portfolio management, and reporting to leadership, ensuring budget

Responsibilities

• Respond to stakeholder requests by gathering information, researching or investigating issues, analyzing data, and making recommendations to senior staff.
• Communicate effectively to ensure assigned stakeholders are aware of and follow OFMB guidelines, policies and processes throughout the budget cycle.
• Collaborate with enterprise staff and leadership to learn about the enterprise operations to accurately assess resource needs and proactively recommend budget changes.
• Attend relevant meetings to stay apprised of current events and issues and provide regular updates to OFMB and DAF leadership.
• Respond to information requests about enterprises from internal and external sources and coordinate with stakeholders for accurate and timely responses.
• Provide regular reporting on the budget and other financial information, focusing on transparency, accuracy, and accessibility.
