Jefferson Health Plans seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to maintain biomedical and clinical data/network systems across Jefferson locations. Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art electronic and test equipment, QA procedures, and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of source, use, and applications of alternative parts providers for electronic equipment.
• Knowledge of computer software-based work order tracking systems.
• Ability to use vendor-supplied service documentation, manuals and parts specifications to test, troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and be self-motivated and disciplined.
• Effectively handles multiple changing priorities.
• Must be able to visit multiple business locations (depending on location).

Responsibilities

• Completes preventive maintenance workload for assigned equipment to maintain PM compliance.
• Maintains device control records and schedules work-orders.
• Evaluates repairs and determines cost-effective actions to maximize uptime.
• Identifies and procures parts and materials to service equipment at low cost.
• Performs repairs on defective equipment.
• Provides in-service training to other technicians.
• Assists with monitoring work by outside service providers.
