Job summary

Charles River Laboratories is seeking an entry-level lab assistant to support immunology/biochemistry workflows in a regulated/non-regulated space. The role involves hands-on lab work, data recording, and collaboration with team members across shifts and study types.

The position requires a BA/BS, ability to communicate effectively, and willingness to work extended hours as needed. No prior experience is required and sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (BA/BS).
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Computer skills commensurate with essential functions.
• Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently perform and document all procedures, materials and results in compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills with peers, supervisor, and team.
• Assist with laboratory maintenance functions.
• Labeling and solution preparations; assist with inventory management.
• Write deviations with minimal oversight.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives with oversight.
• Develop critical thinking, troubleshooting and time management aligned with operational needs.
• Assist in routine sample analysis studies under oversight.
• Assist in method validation projects as needed.
• Operate laboratory instruments with oversight.
• Assist with data analysis in appropriate software for at least one platform.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
