Job summary

Charles River Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Research Analyst I to support regulated and non-regulated preclinical and clinical studies.

You will execute laboratory procedures, perform analyses, validate methods, and assist with formulation activities across several disciplines while adhering to GxP, SOPs, and quality standards. The role emphasizes attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacy, immunology, or related field.
• No professional experience required; relevant academic lab experience preferred.
• Experience with LC/MS/MS, qPCR, ddPCR, flow cytometry, cell culture or formulation preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document laboratory procedures, materials, and results in compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate, timely laboratory documentation and data recording.
• Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and project teams.
• Assist with laboratory maintenance, organization, and inventory.
• Support routine sample analysis and method development/validation projects.
• Operate instruments and analyze data using validated software systems.
