Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a Junior BIM Operator in San Jose, CA to join the BIM team. This entry-level position offers hands-on training and exposure to complex electrical construction projects, developing 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam Revu.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required.
No licensure or certifications required.
No previous experience required; entry-level role.

Responsibilities

Develops 3D models from redlines and construction documents.
Creates and maintains 2D installation drawings from 3D models.
Performs model population including conduits, trays, equipment, fixtures, supports.
Manages documentation through printing, review, and publishing processes.
Maintains project setup and folder structures per CEI standards.
Executes quality control on models and drawings.
Uses BIM 360 interface for file management and issue tracking.
Performs clash detection and coordination reviews.
Communicates within the team regarding deliverables and technical needs.
