Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a BIM Coordinator for our BIM Group in San Jose, CA.

You will work on complex electrical projects, collaborating with Project Management, Field Management, and the BIM Manager to produce installation drawings, 3D models, and 2D details while maintaining schedules. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical construction, strong CAD/BIM modeling skills, and the ability to read blueprints and project specs.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years in electrical construction industry.
• Proficiency in the work of a drafter/CAD operator and modeler.
• Advanced electrical knowledge including equipment clearances and code compliance via modeling.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain BIM rolling schedule and forecast hours.
• Maintain Installation drawing log and weekly summary page.
• Attend clash detection and internal project meetings.
• Set up initial internal clash detection models and verify weekly reports.
• Delegate download/upload of files for BIM team use.
• Create 3D models from red-lines and develop 2D drawings from 3D models.
• Perform QA/QC of work to meet standards.
