Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is hiring a Behavioral Technician to work one-on-one with children and/or adults with autism spectrum disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The role focuses on improving social and communication skills and following established behavior plans. This position offers competitive pay ($23–$27 per hour), weekly paychecks, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completion of college coursework in psychology/education/social work or related experience in childcare/ABA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help children work on social and communication skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Document child progress and milestones.
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
