Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Behavioral Technician to provide one-on-one support to children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related needs. The role focuses on improving social and communication skills and applying behavior plans set by our BCBAs.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or 1 year experience with children in roles like Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician.
• Benefits eligibility is dependent on employment status.

Responsibilities

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Document child progress and milestones.
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
