Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) – Paid Training for an entry-level, part-time role in Maine. The position offers hourly pay of $25-28 and afternoon/evening hours, with in-home and community-based support for children under 21.

No prior experience required; a high school diploma and a strong desire to help families are enough to start, with comprehensive training provided. The role focuses on safety, skill-building, documentation, and collaboration with families

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• English proficiency required.
• Current CPR card required.
• Current health screening as per state requirements.
• Ability to complete the Maine BHP Certificate within 1 year of hire (paid training).

Aufgaben

• Support the health, wellness, and safety of the child.
• Encourage and assist with goals related to daily living skills (healthy habits, personal care, independence).
• Help children build safe and appropriate peer and adult relationships.
• Teach skills that improve self-awareness, social awareness, and community integration.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of progress and behaviors.
• Implement behavior support strategies as outlined in the treatment plan.
• Report suspected abuse or neglect promptly and appropriately.
• Use evidence-based techniques such as prompting, modeling, instruction, and reinforcement.
• Provide transportation as needed for appointments and community activities.
• Encourage communication, decision-making, confidence, and access to needed services.
