Job summary

Ottawa Riverkeeper | Sentinelle de la rivière des Outaouais is seeking a compassionate home-based support worker in Maine. You will provide individualized support to clients in their homes and community, and use your own vehicle for safe transportation while implementing treatment plans with family and the case management team.

No BHP certification is required; a valid driver’s license, reliable car, insurance, and background check are needed.

Qualifications

• Active BHP Certification not required; tools provided to support you.
• 1 year of experience with children is a plus (education, childcare, babysitting).
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support within clients' personal home and community.
• Safely transport the client in your own vehicle.
• Follow the client's treatment plan developed with family and case management.
• Maintain basic digital notes and use smartphone apps as needed; training available.

Job description

$1,000 Sign-On Bonus and Up to $27/hour!

Requirements:

• An active BHP Certification is not required! Our team ensures you have all the tools to become an excellent BHP.
• 1 year of experience working with children is a plus. (I.e. education, childcare, babysitting/nannying, etc.)
• Live in Maine and/or able to commute within the state
• Interest in a career in early childhood education, social work, or psychology
• Flexibility to work some afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Clean driving record and background check
• Ability to provide active motor vehicle insurance & registration
• Ability to provide high school diploma or equivalent

Job Details:

• Providing individualized support within the clients' personal home and surrounding community.
• Safely transporting the client within your own personal, reliable vehicle.
• Following the client's treatment plan outlined and created by the client's family and the case management team.
• Basic understanding of smart phone applications, access to email communication, and awareness around processing electronic documents such as daily session notes. Training is available.
