Job summary

MAS Community Health is seeking a Home Support Specialist to provide individualized in-home assistance and community-based support in Maine. You will transport clients in your own vehicle and follow treatment plans developed with families and the care team.

The role offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus and compensation up to $27/hour with opportunities to grow in a supportive setting. Reliable transportation and flexibility for some afternoons, evenings, and weekends are required.

Qualifications

  • Active BHP certification not required.
  • 1 year of experience working with children preferred.
  • Must live in Maine and be able to commute within the state.
  • Interest in early childhood education, social work, or psychology.
  • Flexibility for afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Clean driving record and background check.
  • Ability to provide vehicle insurance & registration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support in clients' homes and surrounding community.
  • Safely transport clients in your own vehicle.
  • Follow treatment plans created with family and case management.
  • Basic understanding of smartphones, email, and electronic daily notes; training provided.

Requirements:
  • An active BHP Certification is not required! Our team ensures you have all the tools to become an excellent BHP.
  • 1 year of experience working with children is a plus. (I.e. education, childcare, babysitting/nannying, etc.)
  • Live in Maine and/or able to commute within the state
  • Interest in a career in early childhood education, social work, or psychology
  • Flexibility to work some afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Clean driving record and background check
  • Ability to provide active motor vehicle insurance & registration
  • Ability to provide high school diploma or equivalent
Job Details:
  • Providing individualized support within the clients' personal home and surrounding community.
  • Safely transporting the client within your own personal, reliable vehicle.
  • Following the client's treatment plan outlined and created by the client's family and the case management team.
  • Basic understanding of smart phone applications, access to email communication, and awareness around processing electronic documents such as daily session notes. Training is available.
