Maxim Healthcare is seeking an Entry Level Psychology - Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) in Maine. This paid training role is part-time with afternoon/evening hours, focusing on in-home and community support for children under 21, including those with autism.

No prior experience required beyond a high school diploma and a passion for helping others. You’ll receive paid BHP certification training and opportunities for growth, with competitive hourly pay and benefits as outlined by Maxim.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• English proficiency.
• Current CPR card.
• Current health screening (per state requirements).
• Ability to complete the Maine BHP Certificate within 1 year of hire (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Support the health, wellness, and safety of the child.
• Encourage and assist with goals related to daily living skills (habits, self-care, independence).
• Help children build safe peer and adult relationships.
• Teach skills to improve self-awareness and social integration.
• Maintain accurate documentation of progress and behaviors.
• Implement behavior support strategies as outlined in the plan.
• Report suspected abuse or neglect promptly.
• Use evidence-based techniques such as prompting, modeling, instruction, and reinforcement.
• Provide transportation as needed for appointments and community activities.
• Encourage communication, decision-making, confidence, and access to needed services.

What You’ll Do
